Through developmentally appropriate practices and daily prayer, we affirm that all Little Blessings are significant and deserving of the highest quality care, guidance, and opportunities. Each one in our care is valued, loved, and encouraged to grow to their fullest potential..
About The Owner
My name is Wanda Fletcher, and I am the proud Founder and Director of Counting My Blessings Early Learning Center, LLC, a faith-based environment where love, learning, and purpose come together to nurture the hearts and minds of young children.
With more than 18 years of experience in the business and finance field, I bring a wealth of leadership, organization, and professionalism to my role. I graduated from Wor-Wic Community College with a degree in Finance and have earned numerous certifications in Early Childhood Education through Howard University College — blending my business background with my passion for early learning and child development.
As a wife, mother of two, and proud grandmother of eight, I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered space where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow. My leadership is guided by compassion, excellence, and a steadfast belief that every child is a blessing from God.
Outside of my work at the center, I serve faithfully in my church community as a Sunday School teacher for children ages two to five. Through this ministry, I share the love of Jesus in ways that are joyful, meaningful, and age-appropriate for young learners.
My vision for Counting My Blessings Early Learning Center is to provide a Christ-centered foundation that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth — a place where families and children can truly count their blessings every day.
About The Director
Hello! My name is Jennifer Slaughter, and I am the Director of Counting My Blessings, LLC. I hold a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Salisbury University and have devoted nearly 20 years to working in the child care field. Over the past 9 years, I have had the privilege of serving as a Director, where my focus has been on creating a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children and families.
I am also a wife and a proud mother of two, which gives me a personal understanding of the trust and partnership parents seek when choosing care for their children. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth during their early years and believe in building strong relationships with families through open communication, consistency, and care. I look forward to partnering with you and your family as we work together to help your child learn, grow, and thrive.
